Why it works

Built by a Car Person

People choose a garage on trust. Your website should earn it before they pick up the phone.

I'm Mark, a web designer and senior software engineer based in Leeds. People choose a garage on trust: the reviews, the work you've done and how easy it is to book. A good website puts all three in front of them and turns the people who find you on Google into bookings.

I'm a car person first. I do my own servicing and modifications on my Lotus Elise and MX-5, both regulars on track, and when a job needs a specialist, the Elise goes up on the ramps at Performance Autocare. So I know the work from both sides, and what an owner looks for before they hand over the keys.

I design, write, build and host the whole site, so you can stay focused on the cars. There's no agency in between, and the person you speak to is the one who builds it.

The work

Rebuilt for a Decade of Reputation

Performance Autocare, North Yorkshire's leading independent Lotus specialist, rebuilt for their 10th anniversary.

Lotus specialist · Knaresborough

Performance Autocare

Performance Autocare in Knaresborough are North Yorkshire's leading independent Lotus specialist. They were reaching their 10th anniversary with a site that didn't reflect a decade of reputation, and no reliable place for enquiries to land.

I rebuilt it to mark the milestone, giving every side of the business its own home, from the workshop to the showroom, and I've run it ever since. Here's how it's doing.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much does a website for a garage cost?

With Austin Tech Solutions, every build is quoted for your business and agreed as a single fixed price before any work starts. You can pay for the build upfront or spread it monthly. Hosting, updates, off-site backups and support then run on a simple monthly fee. Across the UK, most small businesses pay between £500 and £6,000 depending on how much is custom built.

Can you show the cars we have for sale?

Yes. Performance Autocare's site has a full sales offering: a showroom, an archive of sold cars, sale-or-return brokerage and part exchange.

Will we lose our Google rankings if we rebuild?

No. Performance Autocare's search rankings were protected through the move from their old site, so the visibility they'd already built up carried over.

Can you look after our Google Business Profile too?

Yes. I manage Performance Autocare's profile, keeping hours, services and photos current, and it's a steady source of phone calls, direction requests and website visits every month.

Who looks after the site once it's live?

I do. Hosting, security updates and off-site backups run on a fixed monthly fee, which includes up to 2 hours a month of changes and SEO work. For Performance Autocare that covers every update, from new stock to opening hours.
