Built by Someone Who's at the Track

Most web designers have never signed on for a track day. I do it every season.

I'm Mark, a senior software engineer and web designer based in Leeds. My Lotus Elise and my company-liveried Mazda MX-5 are regulars at Donington Park, Oulton Park and Cadwell Park.

I work on them myself, too. This autumn the 2016 Elise S3 got a stiffer front anti-roll bar and chassis brace for 2027 and a full rust treatment before winter. Between track days I'm on the sim rig, tuned from 77 to 130fps in ACC.

That's why it works. When you talk about sign-on times, noise limits, sighting laps or a tuning job, I already know what you mean, because I'm the person your website is for. I design, write, build and host the whole site myself. No agency, and the person you speak to is the one who builds it.

Two Sides of the Paddock

One for the people watching, one for the people building the cars. Both designed, built and run by me.

01 · Events & spectators

Yorkshire Motorsport

Track days, test days and race meetings at circuits in and near Yorkshire were spread across separate calendars, and none of them said whether spectators could get in.

So I built one. Yorkshire Motorsport is my own product, run to the same standard as every client site. It pulls events from seven circuits every morning, visitors confirm whether spectators got in, and every circuit has track maps, guides and FAQs.

Performance Autocare

North Yorkshire's leading independent Lotus specialist were reaching their 10th anniversary with a site that didn't reflect a decade of reputation.

I rebuilt it to mark the milestone: a full-screen video of a Lotus on the road, a build spotlight following the owner's own track car, dyno-proven gains on the Evora 400, and its own page for every service, upgrade and Lotus model. I've run it ever since, from new stock to opening hours.

Spec sheet

What a Motorsport Site Needs

All of it already running on Yorkshire Motorsport and Performance Autocare.

  1. Dates people can trust

Yorkshire Motorsport pulls every event from the circuits' own sources each morning, each source isolated so one broken site never takes down the rest. The weather forecast, track hours and noise limit sit on every event.

  2. The details visitors ask about

Interactive track maps with named corners and numbered viewing spots, parking, grandstands and camping, and track day and marshalling guides for newcomers.

  3. A showcase for the work

Performance Autocare has its own page for every service, upgrade and Lotus model, dyno-proven power gains on the Evora 400, and a build spotlight following the owner's own track car.

  4. Booking without friction

Every booking button on Performance Autocare opens the enquiry form with the right service already selected, with tap-to-call numbers, directions and opening hours one tap away.

  5. Reach beyond the website

Branded social posts generated from the event data and approved before they go out, a weekly Thursday email with the weekend's racing, and an events widget clubs drop into their own sites.

  6. Found on Google, and in AI search

Yorkshire Motorsport is #1 for 'this weekend' searches. Both sites carry structured data and FAQs so search engines and AI assistants understand exactly what's on offer.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much does a motorsport website cost?

With Austin Tech Solutions, every build is quoted for your business and agreed as a single fixed price before any work starts. You can pay for the build upfront or spread it monthly. Hosting, updates, off-site backups and support then run on a simple monthly fee. Across the UK, most small businesses pay between £500 and £6,000 depending on how much is custom built.

Do you actually go on track?

Yes. My Lotus Elise and my company-liveried Mazda MX-5 are regulars at Donington Park, Oulton Park and Cadwell Park. I also built Yorkshire Motorsport, the free calendar of track days, test days and race meetings at circuits in and near Yorkshire.

Can you build an event calendar or listings?

Yes. Yorkshire Motorsport pulls track days, test days and race meetings from seven circuits automatically each morning, with filters by circuit, category, car or bike and month, a saved list, and one-tap add to calendar.

Can you build a site for a performance or tuning specialist?

Yes. Performance Autocare's site gives every service, upgrade and Lotus model its own page, from bespoke exhausts and ECU tuning to dyno-proven gains on the Evora 400, so an owner searching for a specific job lands on the page that answers it.

Can you show the cars we have for sale?

Yes. Performance Autocare's site has a full sales offering: a showroom, an archive of sold cars, sale-or-return brokerage and part exchange.

Can our events appear on other websites?

Yes. Yorkshire Motorsport has a free embeddable widget that any club, circuit or garage can add to their own site with one line of HTML, filtered to the circuits and event types they choose, in their own brand colour. It's running live on this page.

Who looks after the site once it's live?

I do. Hosting, security updates and off-site backups run on a fixed monthly fee, which includes up to 2 hours a month of changes and SEO work. For Performance Autocare that covers every update, from new stock to opening hours.
